Malappuram: Muslim League State President Panakkad Hyderali Shihab Thangal will be summoned regarding the alleged money laundering in Chandrika Daily by Enforcement Directorate today. ED received a complaint from the petitioner Girish Babu G that crores of unaccounted money is invested in Chandrika Daily. Thangal was issued a notice on Wednesday by ED and he was asked to be present on Friday for the interrogation. Currently, Thangal is in treatment in Kozhikode and Enforcement Directorate issued the notice. He was questioned in last July.

In the press meeting yesterday, MLA K T Jaleel made several accusations against Thangal and Muslim League National General Secretary P K Kunhalikutty. Thangal’s son Moyeen Ali Thangal lashed out against Kunhalikutty yesterday in a press meet, which didn’t go well with the party. The party is clearly in trouble with this alleged money laundering in Chandrika. Amidst lot of internal conflicts and clashes within the Muslim League, Thangal will be questioned by ED today.
