Thiruvanathapuram: Regulations will be now relaxed in tourist centers as Onam season is nearing. Beaches will also open from today. At the same time, as the covid spread is not reduced, things will become worse if more relaxations come into effect, say health experts.
Tourist centers under Forest department will also be open for visitors from today. Those who have taken at least one dose vaccination and where staffs have taken vaccination, people can stay at such hotels and resorts. Tourist centers in Munnar and Idukki have already opened for visitors. Many hotels in containment zones are also allowing people. Corona restrictions should be strictly followed while going to beaches and other public places as per state government order.
Not able to control second wave of covid and its spread in Kerala, government has decided relaxations for tourist centers. As per relaxations, shops were earlier given permission to open from 7 am to 9 pm, Monday through Saturday. Malls will be opened from Wednesday.
