Thiruvananthapuram: It is likely to heavy rain in the state today and IMD issued yellow alert in 12 districts including Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod. IMD has informed chances for heavy rain in all these 12 districts.
People living in the hilly areas, in lower and flood prone regions and places that received high degrees of rainfall in the last days should be taken due care.
