Sabarimala: Top Court did not ask to arrange special security for women: Kadakampally

Thiruvananthapuram: Devaswom Minister Kadakampally Surendran has said that the Supreme Court had not suggested to provide special security for women in Sabarimala. As per the report of Executive Officer, two women of menstrual age have visited Sabarimala. There is no confirmation on the entry of Srilankan woman .The minister was today explaining about the details of women entry, entirely different from that of the details submitted earlier in the top court.

Thantri is not an employee of Devaswom Board.But he is obliged to act as per the manual of the Board.The Government and the Board had never interfered in Thantri’s appointment. The minister also added that the manual does not contain any norms to practice purification process if at all any breach of rituals take place.

If ever such breach of rituals occurs,the concerned official must inform the Assistant Devaswom Commissioner and if required, should discuss with Thanthri for further procedures.

Thazhaman family got it’s right traditionally. Malayarayas have already sought permission for deeparadhana at Ponnambalamedu. Decisions will be taken after discussions with representatives of oraganisations and also with Thantri, Minister told.
