THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Adding steam to the Artificial Intelligence (AI) camera scam in Kerala, the former opposition leader, Ramesh Chennithala, said that the company that had qualified in the tender process did not have the required 10 years work experience. He also alleged a scam of Rs.132 crores behind the project.
Chennithala said that Akshara Enterprises India Private Limited, which won the tender, do not have the mandatory ten-years-experience. He added that it is mentioned in the company website itself that it was registered only in 2017.
The Congress leader revealed that a scam to the tune of Rs.132 crore has been committed in the name of installing AI surveillance camera across the state under the Safe Kerala project. He added that the project could have been completed under a budget of Rs.100 crore.
Ramesh Chennithala also accused the government and KELTRON (Kerala State Electronics Development Corporation) of withholding main documents related to the project.
