Kasargod: In a surprise move, the Revenue Minister, E. Chandrasekharan has criticised the communist party for the brutal killings of two Youth Congress workers. The Minister condemned the killings strongly saying that mistakes must be rectified.
The Minister, who was speaking at a press conference in Thiruvananthapuram pointed out that political killings are always appalling and irrational behaviors must be corrected.
The Revenue Minister said that there were no tensions in the area before the attack. He added that he did not know how such an attack took place there.
Meanwhile, the police have arrested two persons and two motorbikes confiscated in connection with the double murder of Youth Congress workers Kripesh and Sarath Lal.
The DGP has requested the help of Karnataka Police to nab those behind the brutal killings.
The investigating team has been expanded with the addition of two Crime Branch officers. Crime Branch DySP Pradeep Kumar has been given the charge of the investigation. The six-member investigation team consists of three DySPs and three CIs.
