Kochi: Media reports say that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), in an affidavit filed at the High Court, informed the court that there was no word or visual in the movie The Kerala Story that insulted any religion. The CBFC also argued that the petitions seeking for the movie’s ban must be rejected.
In the affidavit the Census Board said that the movie was certified after carefully scrutinizing it. The movie is being released after it made the required changes as per the Board’s suggestions.
The CBFC said that in the movie there were no claims that 32,000 women were converted to Islam and recruited to ISIS. As the movie does not claim it, the teaser loses the significance.
The Census Board in its affidavit said that it had made sure that there was not a single word or visual that insulted any religion.
