Kottarakkara: BJP Yuvamorcha President, CR Praphul Krishnan, has demanded the removal of Health Minister, Veena George, from the Cabinet, following her remarks about the killing of a lady doctor at Kottarakkara. He added that the health minister is a disgrace to Kerala.
The BJP leader said that Kerala has turned into ‘goons own country’. There is no security even for doctors in the state.
He continued that the people have now seen a health minister questioning the experience of a murdered doctor in handling the situation. Earlier, the people had seen the police trying to save the accused in the Wayanad rape case.
The health minister is not even able to use her experience as a media person. She must be ousted as soon as possible, the BJP leader demanded. The CM who appointed certain people as Ministers to appease a vote bank is actually challenging the patience of the people.
Praful Krishnan also demanded that doctors must be provided security.
Dr. Vandana Das was stabbed to death by an accused, Sandeep, in the presence of police officers. He was brought to the hospital after he sustained injury to his leg following a brawl he had. While the Dr. Vandana was administering to his wounds, Sandeep, took hold of a scissors and stabbed the doctor to death.
Health Minister Veena George, in a press meeting told the media that Dr. Vandana was not experienced enough to handle the situation. Her remarks have drawn widespread criticisms.
