The Industries department has not started investigation in the AI camera scam. The probe which was started under the supervision of Mohammed Hanish, the principal secretary in the directorate of industries, was stopped midway. The Industries department claims that the probe is getting delayed due to the need for detailed information.
The government and the Industries department are relieved that the controversies have subsided. Mohammad Hanish, who was in charge of preparing a report on AI camera scam controversy, was transferred to health department just weeks after a departmental enquiry was announced. The government had informed that there will be no hindrances to the probe but the principal secretary in the directorate of industries have not yet started the probe or submitted a report.
No detailed information has been received regarding the controversy. The departmental explanation is that the investigation can begin only after collecting comprehensive details. The Vigilance investigation on allegations of corruption is also at a slow pace. The Vigilance has only collected details from Transport department and Keltron. The confusion between Keltron and Transport department is another hindrance to the project.
