Thiruvananthapuram: The team of the movie ‘The Kerala Story’ has donated Rs. 51 lakhs to Arsha Vidya Samajam, an organization that has worked to rescuing love-jihad victims. The film’s lead actress, Adah Sharma posted the news of the donation on her Twitter handle.

According to her tweet the donation is for a construction of an Ashram by Arsha Vidya Samajam. Adah Sharma said that the organization is working relentlessly and selflessly to rehabilitate those who were converted in the name of love through radicalization.
Arsha Vidya Samajam, based in Thrippunithura and run by Acharya Manoj, has helped in bringing back those who were radicalized and converted to Islam. It is a spiritual center, which was established in 1999. The organization have counseled many girls who were brain washed into converting through love-jihad and have brought them back to their families and to Hinduism.
The decision of the ‘The Kerala Story’ team to donate Rs.51 lakhs has been hailed by the netizens. Meanwhile, ‘The Kerala Story’ is continuing its successful run at the box office and is reported to have grossed Rs.180 crores.
