Kochi: BJP State President, K Surendran, has come down heavily against the LDF government, which has completed two years of its second stint in power. He said that the government is allied with religious fundamentalists. He also revealed that IG P Vijayan, the head of anti terrorism wing was suspended because he took a stand against this.
BJP is conducting protests against the anti-people policies of the government. BJP State General Secretary, MT Ramesh, said that the present administration is the most corrupt government in the history of the state.
K Surendran said that IG Vijayan was suspended for communicating with central agencies in the Elathoor train arson case. He said the suspension is a revenge tactic by the state government and demanded that the suspension must be withdrawn immediately.
The march in Erankulam taken out by BJP activists led to minor skirmishes with the police. The activists questioned the police after women police officers misbehaved with Mahila Morcha activists.
