Ernakulam: A police officer’s car struck a motorcycle on the Harbour Bridge in Kochi last night and fled the scene. The biker suffered critical injuries and is presently receiving treatment.
Following the collision, the car continued for almost 2 kilometres before coming to a stop in a remote area. Two other riders who were following the car confronted the policeman, who reprimanded them.
Vimal, a Chullikal native was the rider who was involved in the accident and was carried to the hospital by Thoppumpady residents. Vimal has filed a complaint with the Thoppumpady police station following the event, but no legal action has been taken.
