Thiruvananthapuram: Vice President Jagadeep Dhankar has praised Malayalees during his speech at the inauguration of Silver Jubilee celebrations of Kerala Legislative Assembly Building. “Heartiest felicitations to the people of Kerala and the nation is proud of them, their energy, their human resource richness, their commitment, their impactful presence in the state and outside particularly on the field of education and health. I am a beneficiary of it.”, he said. Vice President spoke these words remembering his Malayalee teacher Rathna Nair from Sainik School.

“I am delighted to be in ‘God’s own Country’ land of pristine beauty, well known soothing beaches, lush green tea plantations, unique art forms, variety spices, tranquil backwaters of Alappuzha and Kollam, mountain ranges, and Thekkady Wildlife Sanctuary, declared the country’s largest tiger sanctuary in 1978.”, tweeted Vice President Jagadeep Dhankar.

“Over 25 years, the Kerala Legislative Assembly building has served as a nerve centre of many a path-breaking legislation. Buildings such as this are much beyond a work of brick and mortar; it is a symbol of hope, reflecting people’s aspirations and imparting reassurance to the public at large. The Kerala Legislative Assembly building represents the will of the people, spirit of democracy and essence of the Constitution. It is working to realise the ideals of the Preamble of the Indian Constitution for the people at large.”, said Vice president during his speech.
