Kozhikode: President of BJP Mahila Morcha State President, Nivedita Subramanian, said that the government is inactive when it comes to attack against women in Kerala. Women are not able to travel safely even in daytime. The home ministry has completely failed to provide security for women, she said.

She also mentioned the sexual abuse faced by women in KSRTC buses. She responded to the sexual abuses faced by students in educational institutions.

The BJP leader said that even though the state government is saying that women empowerment is its aim, the women of the state cannot venture out even in daytime.

Nivedita Subramanian said that mothers in Kerala are frightened when they have to send their daughters to other places in Kerala. Even ten-month old girls are also not safe in the state.

Mahila Morcha is getting ready to begin state-wide campaign against rising attacks against women in Kerala.
