Thiruvananthapuram: A tariff card is being circulated ahead of Kerala Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan’s participation at the ‘Loka Kerala Sabha’ regional meeting in US. The card is in the name of the organizing committee and displays the rate of different facilities provided to those who are ready to pay.
The organizing committee of the ‘Loka Kerala Sabha’ is said to be collecting huge funds through the tariff cards. The meeting is organized like a celebrity Star Night with three passes, which are Gold, Silver, and Bronze pass.
According to the tariff card the rate of the Gold Pass is $1 lakh which is around Rs.82 lakhs. The Silver Pass costs $50,000 that is around Rs.41 lakhs and the Bronze Pass will cost $25,000 that will be around Rs.20.5 lakhs.
The tariff card promises huge facility for those who buy the passes for the meeting. Though the Loka Kerala Sabha is a government project, it must be noted that money is being collected in its name.
Those who buy the Gold Pass will have a seat at the stage, a dinner with the VIPs, 2 suite rooms for three days, their names displayed on video wall in the meetings, stand up bannersin the lobby area, 2-page advertisement in the souvenir, limousine service, stand up display at the hotel, airport pick up and drop off.
With the Silver Pass, the buyer can guarantee a seat on the stage and dinner with VIPs. However, they will get only one suite room and one-page advertisement in the souvenir.
For the Bronze Pass holder, the buyer won’t get a seat at the stage or a dinner with VIPs. But they get to enjoy the other benefits given to Silver Pass holder.
This tariff card is being circulated in Malayalee groups and also shows the picture of a luxury hotel on it.
The regional meeting of the ‘Loka Kerala Sabha’ to be held at New York will be attended by the Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, Finance Minister, KN Balagopal, Speaker, AN Shamseer, and Norka Vice Chairman P Sreeramakrishnan.
The regional meeting of the ‘Loka Kerala Sabha’ will be held at the Marriot Marquis hotel from June 9 to 11. After the meeting, a public function will take place at Times Square. The tariff card is included in the email sent by the organizing secretary to the members of Loka Kerala Sabha. The email requests the members to find sponsors for the event.
