Thrissur: Actor and comedian Kollam Sudhi (39) died in a car accident. The accident happened at Kaipamangalam, Thrissur, around 4:40 a.m. while returning from Vadakara after a programme.
Binu Adimali, Ullas Aroor, and Mahesh were also with him at the time of the accident. The car they were travelling in collided with an oncoming pickup truck. Kollam Sudhi, who was seriously injured, was rushed to a private hospital in Kodungallur, but the doctors couldn’t save his life. He was an active presence in comedy shows and stage programmes.
Kanthari, released in 2015, was the debut film of Kollam Sudhi. Following this, he appeared in Kattappanayile Hrithwik Roshan, Kuttanadan Marpappa, Escape, Kesu ee Veedinte Nadhan, and Swargathile Katturumbu.
