Kannur: In a horrific incident, an eleven-year-old child was bitten to death by a street dog. The attack occurred in Kannur district at Edakkad. The deceased is Nihal Noushad and he was missing since yesterday 5 pm. Nihal is a mute child.
Nihal’s body was found half a kilometer away from his house, soaked in blood. The body was found after a search conducted by the police and local residents by 8pm in the evening.
The mortal remains of Nihal is now kept at Thalassery General Hospital. The incident has sparked protests and anger among the locals. They accuse the authorities for failing to rein in the problem of street dogs.
