London: In a shocking incident, a Malayalee, Aravind Sasikumar, 37, was stabbed to death in London, following an altercation with his roommate, who is also from Kerala. Aravind was native of Panambali Nagar, Kochi, and was staying in the United Kingdom for the past ten years. He is unmarried.
It is believed that Aravind died of stabbed wounds during an altercation among the roommates. The incident occurred at Peckham on Thursday evening. A man in his twenties, also from Kerala, has been taken into custody by the police and is now being questioned. The motive is unclear at this moment.
According to reports, Aravind lived in a small apartment above a shop with his attacker and two other friends. A call was made to the police at 1.31 am by his friends who had witnessed the stabbing. They requested help and informed the police that a person was stabbed.
A police spokesperson said that despite treatment from medical professionals, the man sadly died at the scene, said a report.
The police informed Aravind’s relative living in the UK about his death. The police have erected a forensic tent in near the building and have started investigation.
The murder of Aravind follows the triple murder of Keralites Anju and two children by her husband Shaju, in the UK, a few months back.
