Thiruvananthapuram: After a brief respite, Kerala Governor, Arif Mohammad Khan, raised criticisms against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on his foreign trip to Cuba, said a report. The Governor dubbed Pinarayi’s visit to Cuba as ‘political pilgrimage’.

Criticizing the news report that Pinarayi Vijayan held talks with Cuban authorities regarding collaboration in the health sector, the Governor said that the CM is engaged in discussion on health with a country that is famous for the production of cigarettes.

Arif Mohammad Khan said that the CM was wasting the public’s money in this manner. He added that the higher education sector in the state is in shambles. The government is playing with the future of children and said that most universities in the state do not have a permanent Vice Chancellor.

Kerala Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, made a two-day visit to Cuba after his concluding his visit to the United States. During the Cuban visit he held talks with Cuban Deputy Minister of Public Health, Tania Margarita Cruz and discussed cooperation in Ayurveda, the public health sector, literature, and housing, said another report.
