K Surendran, the state president of BJP, expressed strong criticism against the government and LDF in Kerala following a series of malpractices discovered involving SFI leaders. During a press conference, Surendran highlighted that the management of Milad-e-Sherif Memorial (MSM) College confirmed that the admission of Nikhil Thomas was facilitated through the recommendation of a ruling party leader. He emphasized that this was not an isolated incident and criticized the government’s lack of action against such SFI leaders, which has contributed to the prevailing disorder. Furthermore, he pointed out the unresponsiveness of the CPM state secretary to these issues.
Surendran raised questions about SFI state secretary PM Arsho, who has been accused of passing a university examination without appearing, and how he could provide a clean chit to Nikhil Thomas. He questioned the authority given to Arsho to conduct the investigation.
He countered to Arsho’s words that such allegations are to damage the reputation of SFI by saying that “no one can destroy a non-existent matter.”
Surendran further alleged that if an investigation were to be initiated from the Chief Minister’s office, a series of forgeries would be found. He accused the Higher Education Minister of being involved in forgery, claiming that the minister’s inclusion was based on fabricated documents. As a response, BJP has planned a secretariat march on June 27 to protest against these issues. Additionally, complaints regarding the forgery and irregularities will be filed with the governor who is chancellor for the universities.
