The Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM) has taken decisive action by expelling KV Kelu, the local secretary of Kasaragod, from the primary membership of the party. This action comes in response to a complaint filed against Kelu, alleging that he engaged in a conversation of an obscene nature with a female party worker over the phone.
Notably, this incident follows a similar occurrence in Alappuzha, where AP Sona, a member of the Alappuzha South Area Committee, was also expelled from the party due to a controversy involving an obscene video.
Additionally, AD Jayan, another member of the Alappuzha South Area Committee, also suspened from the party for supporting Sona on the matter and allegedly threatening the victims at their residences.
