Thiruvananthapuram: A report said that an FIR has been lodged against KSU leader, Anzil Jaleel, for making a fake BCom certificate and trying to cheat the Kerala University (KU). The case was registered on the complaint by Kerala University Registrar.
Anzil Jaleel is the State Convener of KSU
The FIR states that the forged certificate, allegedly made by Anzil Jaleel, shows that he secured BCom from Kerala University in the period 2013-16. It also says that the fake signature of the Vice Chancellor was put on the certificate, said the report.
The report also says that Anzil Jaleel is charged non-bailable charges under IPC 465, 466, 471, 420 related to forgery and cheating. The punishment can go up to seven years imprisonment.
The Kerala University, in its complaint to the DGP, said that the certificate serial number do not belong to KU. In addition, the signature of the person in the certificate does not belong to the VC who was in charge at that time.
The report said that Anzil Jaleel rejected any knowledge of such a certificate and said that he has not submitted it anywhere. He has submitted a complaint to Alappuzha SP to investigate the origins of the certificate.
