Palakkad: The former SFI leader and accused in forging an experience certificate to gain employment, K Vidya, collapsed while being questioned. She was being interrogated at the Agali DySP office. Vidya has been taken to the hospital for treatment.

K Vidya was to be questioned together with a lady lecturer of Maharaja’s College when she felt dizzy and fell down. She was then taken to a hospital at Kotapuram. This stalled the questioning process. The court had send Vidya to police custody the other day.

It is alleged that Vidya in her forged experience certificate showed that she had taught at the Maharaja’s College in Ernakulam. She then submitted the fake experience certificate at the Attappady Government College to get the job of guest lecturer. However, the authorities at the Government College got suspicious and inquired about her former employment with Maharaja’s College.

This brought the whole incident to light. A police case was registered against K Vidya on June 6. However, she went to hiding soon after the case was registered and was absconding for more than two weeks.

After a public outcry was raised criticizing the police for dragging their feet in arresting the accused, she was finally arrested from her friend’s house in Kozhikode.
