In a recent development, Abin C Raj, a former SFI leader hailing from Kayamkulam, has been arrested as the second accused in a case involving a fake certificate. The arrest of Abin took place immediately after the plane he was traveling on landed at Nedumbassery. Subsequently, he was brought to the Kayamkulam police station for further proceedings.
The arrest comes in light of Nikhil Thomas’s statement, where he revealed that Abin had assisted him in obtaining the fake degree certificate. Under police pressure, Abin, who was working in the Maldives at the time, was brought back to Kerala.
It has been revealed that Abin C Raj had procured the fake certificate through a private agency named Orion agency in Kochi. Nikhil provided evidence confirming that he had paid Rs 2 lakh to obtain the fake certificate. As a result, Abin was implicated as the second accused in the case.
