Sabarimala issue: RSS top leadership accuses Kerala Government of “political ill-will” against Hindus

in Kerala, India

Gwalior: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has come done heavily against the Communist government in Kerala for showing undue haste in implementing the Supreme Court order on Sabarimala. The organization also accused the Pinarayi government of harbouring political ill-will against Hindus.

In the statement passed by RSS during the three-day meet of Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha(ABPS) it said, “It was not binding on the state government to implement the decision in any stipulated time frame, but without understanding the nuances of the judgement, the state government has shown undue haste and political ill-will towards the Hindu society by facilitating forcible entry of non-Hindu and non-devotee women in the temple.”

The apex court of India had in September 2018 passed a judgement allowing women to enter Sabarimala on the grounds of gender equality. However, the lone woman judge, Indu Malhotra gave a different judgement which in essence supported the ban on woman entry into Sabarimala.

Following the judgement, the Communist government in Kerala began to terrorize the Ayyappa devotees who led peaceful protests against the judgement. The government was hell-bent on taking women to the holy shrine and this led to many stand-offs with the devotees.

The 3-day ABPS conclave began on Friday and will be attended by the top brass of the RSS. The meet will discuss the current national, social and religious situation. The ABPS is held every March to discuss topics of national importance and to analyse the reports and activities of RSS and to make future plans.
