Kochi: The High Court of Kerala made a scathing remark about the existing Church disputes in the State. The Court blamed that assets and properties of the Churches are the reason for all the problems.
In the verbal observation the court said that if these assets are accounted and taken over by the government then disputes among the different Christian groups will come to an end.
The High Court made the verbal observation while considering a dispute related to a church in Palakkad. The court warned that it will not hesitate to take up all the cases and pass verdicts to shift the assets to the government.
The bench headed by Justice P. D. Rajan said that all the disputes will disappear if a committee is formed with the Chief Secretary and a receiver is appointment to acquire all the assets of the churches.
