Kasargod: A counter-petition has been filed against former SFI leader K Vidya, who was arrested for presenting a fake experience certificate from Maharajas College to secure a guest lecturer position at Government College, Attappadi.
The counter-petitions highlight accusations that Vidya defamed the reputation of the higher education sector and Maharajas College. As per the police report submitted to the court, Vidya deceived the government and earned Rs 2,78,250 by assuming the role of a guest lecturer.
Following the bail granted to Vidya by the Hosdurg Judicial First Class Magistrate Court-2, the investigating team has been instructed to file a counter-petition.
The counter-petition argues that witnesses may be influenced by threats or intimidation, and it is unlikely that Vidya will cooperate with the investigation. These concerns were outlined in the police’s petition opposing the grant of bail.
Yesterday, Vidya was granted bail in the case pertaining to her fraudulent employment at Karinthalam Government College through the submission of forged documents.
