Thiruvananthapuram: A report said that the Central Water Commission (CWC) has given a warning after water levels of the rivers in the state crossed the danger mark.
The warning was given to stations of Madamon at Pamba river, Kaloorpara at Manimala river, Kidangoor at Meenachil river, Kutiyadi at Kutiyadi river, Pulakayar at Manimala river, Thumpamon at Achenkovil river and Malakkara at Pamba river, said the report.
As the water levels rose above the danger level, the CWC has given orange and yellow alerts. The CWC has also issued a warning to those living near the banks of the rivers to stay on alert as heavy rainfall is still continuing.
Central Water Commission is a premier technical organization of India in the field of water resources and is part of the Ministry of Jal Shakti.
