PATHANAMTHITTA: Despite the cessation of rainfall in Kerala, educational institutions that are currently operating as relief camps have been granted a holiday for today. This decision, however, will not affect the schedule of public and university exams.
In particular, Kuttanad taluk has been severely affected by water logging, leading many schools to continue their operations as relief centers. Considering the prevailing circumstances, the Collector has officially declared a holiday for all educational institutions in the taluk, including schools, professional colleges, and Anganwadis. Notably, pre-scheduled exams will proceed as planned.
Meanwhile, although the heavy rains have subsided to some extent across the state, the Indian Meteorological Department warns of their anticipated intensification over the next four days. Today, a yellow alert has been issued for three districts: Idukki, Kannur, and Kasaragod.
