THRISSUR: In a recent incident in Thrissur, a woman has been fined Rs 25,000 after her minor son was found riding her scooter with two pillion riders. The scooter was being driven by a boy from Kozhukkully. The penalty was imposed on the mother, who is the owner of the scooter.
The Chief Judicial Magistrate of Thrissur has issued an order stating that if the offender fails to pay the penalty, she will face a five-day imprisonment.
The court observed that the scooter was being driven at a dangerously high speed, emphasizing that this incident should serve as a warning to all parents.
The incident came to light when a team from the Motor Vehicle Department noticed the vehicle and registered a case. Considering the young age of the children involved and the excessive speed of the scooter, the motor vehicle department filed a case against the parents of the child who was driving the vehicle.
