PALAKKAD: Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Patjoshi, the State Director General of Fire and Rescue Services, has issued a letter to employees, emphasizing the need to remain vigilant during work hours. The letter was prompted by a concerning incident that occurred on July 8, at 11:30 pm, during his visit to a fire station in Palakkad district.
According to the letter, there was a lack of gate security staff at the fire station, and the fire chief’s driver had to wake up the personnel who were found sleeping. Dr. Sanjeev expressed his outrage at finding all the on-duty staff asleep and warned them that this negligence could have serious consequences, even in the event of an actual emergency such as an office fire.
The letter serves as a stern reminder to all employees to remain alert and committed to their responsibilities, with the goal of preventing such lapses from recurring in the future.
