BENGALURU: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, along with prominent party leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, attended the mega Opposition party meet in Bengaluru.
On hearing the sad news of Kerala’s former chief minister Oommen Chandy’s demise, today morning they took a moment to pay their final respects to the late Oommen Chandy, who passed away earlier in the day.
Before the meeting, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, along with other leaders, visited the house in Indiranagar, where the mortal remains of the former Kerala chief minister were kept. They offered their heartfelt homage to the departed leader, honoring his legacy and contributions to public service.
“Oommen Chandy ji was an exemplary grassroots Congress leader. He will be remembered for his lifelong service to the people of Kerala. We will miss him dearly. Much love and condolences to all his loved ones,” Rahul Gandhi posted on Twitter.
