New Delhi: The NDA is gearing up for a heated contest in the 20 Lok Sabha elections in Kerala. The seat sharing decision among the NDA alliance was announced formally by the BJP General Secretary Muralidhar Rao.

At a press conference in New Delhi, Muralidhar Rao announced that BJP will contest in 14 seats which includes Kasargod, Kannur, Malappuram, Ponnani, Kozhikode, Palakkad, Ernakulam, Chalakudy, Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta, Attingal, Kollam, and Thiruvananthapuram.

Muralidhar Rao flanked by leaders from BJP and its ally Bharath Dharma Jana Sena (BDJS), the second biggest constituent in the NDA alliance, said that BDJS will contest in 5 seats which includes Wayanad, Alathur, Thrissur, Idukki, and Mavelikkara.

Finally, the Kerala Congress party under the leadership of P. C. Thomas will contest from Kottayam.

The BJP and its alliance will fight on two fronts against the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF) and Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) in the coming Lok Sabha elections. Analysts are predicting that BJP is a posing a tough challenge to both LDF and UDF in Kerala.

The BJP has been instrumental in exposing the anti-development, violent and minority appeasement politics of the ruling LDF.
