Kannur: Jayaprakash, a resident of Ancharakandy, was arrested by the Kannur city police for driving his car on the railway track while under the influence of alcohol. He drove his car along the track near the Thazhe Chovva railway cross, covering a distance of approximately 15 meters.
The car became stuck on the tracks, causing it to come to a complete stop. The gatekeeper, who witnessed the incident, promptly notified the police. Upon their arrival, the police successfully removed the car from the railway track.
Jayaprakash will be charged under the Railway Act for his stunts, and will also face charges for drunken driving under the Motor Vehicle Act. Following his arrest, he was released on bail. However, his car has been confiscated and will be presented as evidence in court.
