Kottayam: Speaker of Kerala’s Legislative Assembly, AN Shamseer, insulted Hindu Gods and rituals by dubbing it as mere myth. He said that these stories and superstitions are a hindrance to progress. The Speaker made these remarks at Ernakulam during a program.

Shamseer made these anti-Hindu statements while people like manager of St.Theresa’s College, Sister Dr. Vineetha, and others were on stage. Interestingly, the Speaker chose not to speak about the superstitions and stories of other religions during his speech.

AN Shamseer also insulted Lord Ganapathy. He said that Ganapathy and Pushpaka Vimana are not science. All those are myths. The superstitions during Hindutva era will pull back progress. During the age of Artificial Intelligence, all these are mere myths, he continued.

The Speaker also said that the incidents depicted in Hindu Puranas spread superstitions. It is taught that an elephant’s head was cut and plastic surgery done. He said that the age of technology must be accepted and also asked the audience to reject Hindu myths.

BJP State President, K Surendran, has come out strongly against the Speaker’s statements. He asked if Shamseer had the courage to criticize other religions like this. The BJP leader demanded that the Speaker must apologize for insulting Hindus.

The Speaker while talking about Artificial Intelligence insulted the Hindu Puranas and stories. However, AN Shamseer chose not to speak about the superstitions and stories of other religions. He also accused that beliefs are being included in education policies.
