Kasaragod: Fake news propaganda about Manipur issue is spreading widely in Kerala. People with vested interests are trying to create a rift between Hindus and Christians by sharing fake news and false narrative of the riots in Manipur. Islamists and communists in Kerala are fomenting trouble by holding marches and spreading fake news.
Death slogans were raised at a protest in Kanhangad in Kasaragod district by Muslim League activists under the guise of protest against Manipur issue. This has raised alarm bells among the Hindus living in that area. After Popular Front, now the Muslim League activists have raised threatening slogans against Hindus.
The main slogan in the Muslim League protest against Manipur issue was, “Before completing the reading of Ramayana you will be hanged in the temple premises and burned”. The Muslim League has made a direct threat against Hindu believers in the name of Manipur issue. It must be noted that Hindus in Kerala are currently celebrating ‘Ramayana Masam’, a month long reading of the Holy Ramayana in Hindu households during the month of Karkidakam.
There are already allegations that after the Popular Front of India (PFI) was banned, the Islamists had joined the Muslim League. It is noteworthy that in the midst of these allegations, slogans are raised that directly threatens to kill Hindu believers.
