THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Aishwariyaa Bhaskaran, a South Indian actress, expressed strong criticism against the Kerala state government regarding women’s protection. Aishwariyaa, who has acted in a number of Malayalam films, conveyed her criticism through her YouTube channel.
The actor’s criticism came after her recent visit to Kerala for shooting. She also pointed out why there are so many crimes against women in a state with a high literacy rate.
Aishwariyaa added that it is very disheartening to see that the legal system in Kerala is not taking proper action on any of these issues. She emphasized that it is extremely difficult for women to travel alone in Kerala. In her own words, “Why are no women’s organizations coming forward against this? Why is the government reluctant to take action?”
She further stated that a government unable to provide security to women should be ashamed and is simply ridiculous.
Aishwariyaa is an actress known for playing strong female characters in many Malayalam films like “Narasimham,” “Butterflies,” “Sathyameva Jayathe,” etc. The actress has also acted in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada films.
