THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: At the memorial event of former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy organized by Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), a surprising incident occurred that drew the attention of attendees. As Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan took the stage to address the crowd, an unexpected malfunction with the microphone caused a brief interruption. Simultaneously, some shouted at the hall that further added to the commotion. Reacting to the events, CPI(M) leader AK Balan expressed his suspicions while speaking to the media.
Balan questioned the timing and coordination of these incidents, suggesting that it not seemed to be accidental. He stated that it would be challenging to believe that everything happened spontaneously. Balan emphasized that the responsibility lies with the Congress leadership to shed light on the truth behind these occurrences. He asserted that his party would not engage in creating controversies over this matter and would wait for a response from the Congress leaders.
Regarding the police FIR filed regarding the microphone malfunction, Balan claimed to be unaware of the details and refrained from commenting on an issue he lacked information about. Instead, he redirected the focus to the Congress party’s keen interest in discussing the Solar issue at the Puthuppally bypoll.
Furthermore, Balan highlighted that the CPI(M) had taken a stance of not uttering a single word against PT Thomas in the Thrikkakara by-election.
