Thiruvananthapuram: The state Government has shown a grave indiscretion in the security arrangement of Sree Padmanabha Swami Temple, which is listed among the world’s richest temples. No action has been taken yet on Central Intelligence report to install underground sensors around the environs of the temple. Intelligence Bureau has presented a detailed report to the state Government explaining the probability of terror attack by way of beneath the surface of the ground.
Government had tightened security of the temple after the information on the ancient treasures kept at its secret cellars and underground chambers came to light. Travancore Royal family and devotees are still in the dark even though some security measures are taken. Adequate steps have not been taken by the Government and Keltron, which has been assigned to deploy underground sensors has not worked for that. A security meeting had held at Keltron Centre to analyse the progress of the procedure, but Keltron failed to provide details regarding the installation of sophisticated surveillance equipment .
Sree Padmanabha Swamy temple, one of the richest places of worship in the world,is not still entirely secured, just on account of the dumb move of Kerala Government.
