The body of the 5-year-old girl,  who had gone missing in Aluva, has been discovered. Tragically, it has been confirmed that she was abducted and killed. Mollywood Actor and renowned personality, Unni Mukundan, popular for his work in the film Malikappuram, responded to this heart-wrenching incident. Through a heartfelt Facebook post, he expressed his deep concern and sorrow over the tragedy. He wrote: “I will never be able to put in words, the pain caused from this heart wrenching news. My prayers for the family. We need to know, that in times where we don’t know who surround us, how do we keep our kids safe?”

Unni Mukundan’s FB post:

The lifeless body of 5-yr-old was discovered near Aluva market, discarded inside a sack. After a long 22-hour search, her body was located in a muddy region along the banks of Periyar. Unfortunately, the area is known as a waste dumping ground, seldom frequented by people. Locals identified the body when they noticed a hand protruding from the sack and immediately alerted the Aluva Police about the distressing finding.

The police have apprehended a person named Afsaq in connection with the incident. Several witnesses reported seeing Afsaq entering the market with the child, and he was seen accompanied by two other individuals. The police are currently conducting an investigation to determine the motive behind the heinous murder of the child.
