Aluva: Initial report by the police said that the five-year-old girl who was kidnapped and murdered at Aluva was brutally assaulted. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted under Aluva DySp to investigate the murder case. The prime accused, Asfaq Alam, a migrant worker, has already confessed to the killing. The girl was killed during sexual abuse.
A report said that the girl sustained severe injuries to her face, head and genitals. Asfaq strangulated the girl with a thread and had her face thrashed with a stone.
The postmortem of the dead body is being carried out at the Kalamassery Government Medical College and will be completed today, said the report. Earlier, Rural SP, Vivek Kumar said that more details can be told only after the postmortem is completed.
The parents of the victim has been taken to the Medical College. The body will be taken to district hospital and will be kept in the mortuary. The funeral will take place tomorrow morning.
The report said that more than one individual may be involved in the crime. Victim, the daughter of a couple from Bihar, was abducted yesterday by Asfaq Alam. An intense search was conducted by the police but she could not be traced. After 21 hours of search, her body was found at the Aluva market on the muddy banks of Periyar River concealed in a sack.
DGP of Kerala, Shaik Darvesh Saheb, said that there is no lapse from the part of the police. The initial aim was to find the missing girl. He also cited that the prime suspect Asfaq was nabbed quickly.
People from all walks of life have condemned the gruesome crime. Political parties have already begun criticizing the government for its lapse in handling the law and order situation in the state. Incidentally, the home ministry is under the Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan.
BJP State President, K Surendran, accused the government of not having any information about the migrant workers coming in to the state. He said that the appeasement politics of the government will soon transfer Kerala into West Bengal.
