Actor and BJP leader Krishnakumar has severely criticized the film stars and the government for not responding to the brutal murder of a five-year-old girl in Aluva. Earlier, only Unni Mukundan, Harish Peradi, Vivek Gopan and Akhil Marar reacted to the incident that shook the nation. Krishnakumar expressed his anger through a Facebook post.
Krishnakumar’s Facebook post about the shocking murder in Aluva states thus:
From yesterday afternoon till today, every Malayali who has good inside is in a frozen state of mind and conscience. The face of that little girl in Aluva brings great shock and also a handful of questions before us. Along with it, overwhelming helplessness and rage.
We no longer see any cultured dog that barks and howls towards the north every time possible. We no longer see the enlightened Malayalees who stroke a match to light a candle when news of a torture in Manipur, Kashmir, or some unnamed north Indian village reaches here. We don’t see the head of a leading film actor which lowered with the weight of humiliation a couple of weeks ago, has returned to its original position since then or now.
Alcohol, drugs, anarchy, nepotism and minority favoritism are being ruled by this government which has made Kerala number one, it is not possible for me or you, not even our grandchildren who very tiny, to live here without fear of danger, especially if you are born a Hindu. According to the data from 2016 to May this year, 31364 cases of violence against children have been registered. 9604 of them are sexual assaults.
214 children have been killed in our Kerala during this period. Many more cases are still unaccounted? It would be better if the government, who only keeps an eye on the vote bank, and honours all the migrant workers who come and visit here by calling them guests and pride, knows that, people are watching all this. They have lots to say on this.
Nothing more to write. As a member and symbol of a failing majority in a rotten society, I had to say this much; Forgive me daughter. In the years to come, let your sisters at least have the opportunity to go out and spread their wings without fear of life. All my efforts will be for that only.
