THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Akhila Kerala Dheevara Sabha has taken a stand against Kerala Legislative Assembly Speaker A. N. Shamseer for his derogatory remarks about God Ganesha, considering it a myth. The Dheevara Sabha, along with many social leaders and the BJP, expressed their dissatisfaction with Shamseer’s anti-Hindu comments.
General Secretary of Akhila Kerala Dheevara Sabha, V Dinakaran, firmly stated that Shamseer’s hatred towards Hindu beliefs is unacceptable. They have demanded Shamseer’s resignation from the post of Kerala Legislative Assembly Speaker in response to his offensive statements about Lord Ganesha, a respected deity in Hindu worship.
Dinakaran stressed that such remarks can deeply impact religious sentiments and have consequences on society, making it utterly inappropriate for someone holding the position of Assembly Speaker. Thus, Shamseer is called upon to apologize for his hurtful remarks.
Previously, the BJP and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) have lodged numerous complaints and held protests over Shamseer’s statements. The Nair Service Society (NSS) has also demanded his resignation and an apology.
Given the seriousness of the situation, Hindu organizations have decided to intensify their strike if Shamseer refuses to step down. The Hindu Aikyavedi and VHP have already organized a march to the Secretariat to address the issue.
In response to the growing discontent, NSS has scheduled a Nama Japa protest in Thiruvananthapuram tomorrow.
The situation remains tense as various groups continue to assert their stance on the matter.
