Kottayam: Nair Service Society (NSS) General Secretary, G Sukumaran Nair, said that his organization will intensify its uncompromising protest against Speaker, AN Shamseer, for insulting Hindus. He said that the protest will continue till the Speaker gives an apology. Sukumaran Nair said that the statements of Shamseer were a result of his hatred for Hinduism and that his words have struck at the heart of the Hindu community.
Sukumaran Nair said that Hindu community goes forward by accepting every religion. However, if anyone insults Hindus then it will be opposed without any compromise.
The NSS General Secretary said that a protest similar to the Sabarimala protest will be organized and added that NSS will work in collaboration with other Hindu organizations. He said that NSS is not against BJP and said that the stand taken by BJP in this issue is correct. He said that NSS will work closely with BJP and RSS.
Sukumaran Nair also remarked about the Congress party, which hitherto has not made its stand clear on the issue. He said that the grand old party must also come on track soon.
He said that today will be observed as Protection of Beliefs day and this is only a symbolic protest. If Shamseer fails to tender his apology, then the protests will be intensified. The Speaker must give apology and say that he was wrong.
If Shamseer spoke about science, then it must not be against Lord Ganapathi alone. It must be applied to other religions as well.
The General Secretary also said that the statements by the CPI(M) Central Committee member, AK Balan, do not deserve a reply.
The NSS is observing ‘Protection of Beliefs’ day today protesting against the anti-Hindu statements of Speaker, AN Shamseer.
Organizations such as Dheevara Sabha have already come against AN Shamseer for saying that Lord Ganapathi is a myth and the holy Puranas hinder scientific progress.
