Kottayam: After NSS decided to launch a mass protest against the Speaker, AN Shamseer, on the model of Sabarimala protests, the Sree Narayana Dharama Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam has also registered its protest against him. It is a clear sign that Hindu organizations are closing ranks to put up a united front against anti-Hindu statements of the Speaker.
The SNDP Vice President, Thushar Vellappally, after visiting NSS headquarters said that attacks against Hindus cannot be accepted. Death slogans are being raised against Hindu community in Kerala. However, the NSS or the SNDP is not raising any such death slogans against anybody.
Thushar Vellappally said that attack against one community is not acceptable. The SNDP has been behind the devotees at all times and it will still continue.
He added that Lord Ganapathi is also his God. There is no reason for anyone to say ill about the Lord. No Hindu here is insulting Jesus Christ or Prophet Mohammed. There are many instances in those religions which can be interpreted as myths. However, is there any statement anywhere that is insulting to them?
The SNDP Vice President’s response comes at a time when protest against AN Shamseer is gaining momentum. He also said that the SNDP’s stand in the issue will be revealed later.
Thushar Vellappally made these statements to the media after his personal visit to the NSS headquarters.
