Thiruvananthapuram: BJP State President, K Surendran, has come down heavily against the Speaker, AN Shamseer, for his anti-Hindu remarks, which have sparked widespread condemnation across the Hindu community.
Surendran asked if Shamseer has the courage to say Allah is a myth. The BJP leader quipped that Shamseer knows that if he says it, then his head will be cut off.
The BJP leader also questioned the Congress party’s stand on anti-Hindu remarks of the Speaker. He said that the grand old party is sill silent on the issue. Surendran asked who is the Opposition leader, VD Satheesan, and KPCC President, K Sudhakaran, afraid off.
Surendran also asked why Congress leader and Member of Parliament, K Muraleedharan, is silent and questioned if it is because he fears a backlash in his constituency Vatakara.
The BJP State President continued that Hindu organizations have come out in protest against the anti-Hindu remarks of AN Shamseer. Without making the situation worse Shamseer must apologize to the Hindu community. Leaders like Shamseer are becoming tool in the hand of CPI(M) to polarize Kerala. The communist party is indulging in these issues with a sinister agenda.
K Surendran asked who gave AN Shamseer the authority to challenge Hindu beliefs. How did a CPI(M) leader get the opportunity to insult the beliefs of crores of people of the country. There is clear conspiracy behind this. It is understood that efforts are going on to include PFI leaders into DYFI.
The BJP is planning to intensify the protest against the Speaker. The NSS has taken a stand in support of the devotees. There is no restriction for anyone to participate in the protest conducted by the NSS.
Speaker of the Assembly, AN Shamseer, in a speech said that Lord Ganapathi is a myth and holy Puranas are a hindrance to scientific progress. Though the Speaker justifies his statements as promoting scientific temper in society, he deliberately did not talk about other religions and their myths and beliefs.
