Thiruvananthapuram: The Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana Yogam (SNDP) General Secretary, Vellappally Natesan, said that whoever is saying religious hatred is wrong.
Vellappally Natesan said that he did not know the circumstances in which Speaker AN Shamseer spoke against Lord Ganapathi and Hindu beliefs.
The SNDP General Secretary also demanded a stop to discussions that aims at reaping political gains through spreading religious hatred.
Vellappally did not demand a resignation or apology from AN Shamseer and said that those who gave Shamseer the position can only ask him to resign.
Earlier, Vellappally’s son Thushar Vellappally had said that SNDP is behind the devotees and singling out Hindus and attacks on the Hindu community will not be accepted.
Thushar made these remarks to media after visiting the NSS headquarters. NSS has already announced that it will intensify its stir against the Speaker AN Shamseer for insulting Lord Ganapathi.
Meanwhile, the Congress leaders have not taken a definite stand on the issue and has not yet demanded the resignation of the Speaker nor has the party demanded that AN Shamseer tender an apology to the Hindu community.
