Thiruvananthapuram: The BJP State President, K Surendran, said that the BJP will intensify its agitation against the anti-Hindu remarks by Speaker, AN Shamseer. The party will organize a mass protest which will include people from all sections of the society.
K Surendran said that the CPI(M) thinks it will face no loss in the elections even if they mock Hindus. It is because the communist party has already made arrangements with Muslim terror organizations.
The BJP leader said that it is the Islamic fundamentalists who are giving courage to the CPI(M). Shamseer made these anti-Hindu remarks as part of a grand plan.
The President said that the decision of the party is to face any challenge. The devotees will go forward together. He added that the party will continue protesting till AN Shamseer tenders an apology to the Hindu community.
He said that many Hindu children go to the temple before going to school. However, making fun of Hindu beliefs has been normalized now.
Surendran said that AN Shamseer is not checking the science behind Muslim practices.
The BJP President remarked that the CPI(M) State Secretary, MV Govindan, has not denounced Monistic religious belief. This is clearly communalism. This kind of statements should never have come from a political party. The CPI(M)’s action is despicable.
Surendran also accused the CPI(M) leaders of having connection with communal elements and reminded that the Popular Front of India’s (PFI) center remained active with the help of the Kerala Police. The state government took a stand that helped PFI.
The BJP leader also called for a probe to see if AN Shamseer has any relation to these communal forces.
Speaker, AN Shamseer, has come under heavy criticism from the Hindu community for insulting Lord Ganapathi and holy Puranas and saying that these are myths and a hindrance to scientific progress. The Speaker however did not bother to speak about the beliefs of other religions.
Though, many Hindu organizations called for Shamseer’s apology, he categorically denied it and said that he was merely trying to impart scientific thought.
The CPI(M) State Secretary, MV Govindan, made the party’s stand clear by supporting Shamseer’s statement in a press meeting. He said that Ganapathi is a myth. But when asked if Allah is a myth, the State Secretary said that every belief cannot be called as myth. Thus the communist party secretary has openly said that while Ganapathi is a myth, the Monist religious beliefs are not.
