Thiruvananthapuram: BJP State President, K Surendran, alleges that the Speaker, AN Shamseer’s anti-Hindu remarks is part of the government’s agenda to encourage religious fundamentalist forces. Surendran also said that taking case against peaceful protests is unheard of. He said that case was registered to mock one community and to get the good certificate from religious fundamentalists.
The BJP leader said that a case must be filed against AN Shamseer for the anti-Hindu remarks while holding a constitutional position. He insulted one religion and praised his own religion. He is praising the traditions of Islam and its greatness continuously and in the same vein, he is ridiculing Hindu religion publically. A criminal case must be registered against AN Shamseer for hate speech and calling for communal riots in the state.
Surendran said that the issue lies in praising every tradition of Islam and saying that Hindu traditions are mere myths. The scientific truth in every religion must be brought out. They must tell if celebrating the festival looking at the moon and going to heaven to see the Hooris are myths or not.
K Surendran remarked that Kerala is looking forward to what the Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has to say in the issue. The CM must give an explanation in the matter. The government must say who gave the authority to the Speaker to spread separatism and communalism in a secular society.
He accused the CPI(M) of polarization and aiming at the 30% Muslim vote bank, which is a dangerous move by the party. This move is aimed at the coming Lok Sabha Elections. When the government is supporting this polarization, then it will move into a dangerous situation.
The left government’s action is similar to the stand it took during the Sabarimala protests. The NSS is not alone in this protest and the government must not forget that.
He also denounced the Congress’ stand as opportunistic and said that they broke their silence in the issue only when NSS publically began its protest against the government.
