An inquiry has been initiated by the Central Intelligence Agency into the incident involving a private chopper flying over Sri Padmanabha Swamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram. The investigative team will also explore the potential of sabotage. The chopper violated regulations by flying over the sanctum sanctorum more than five times, thus violating control measures.
A serious breach of security transpired at the Padmanabha Swamy Temple when an unauthorized chopper flew over the temple grounds and repeatedly circled the shrine. Central intelligence agencies will examine the potential for a coup connection in this incident. It has been ascertained that intelligence has gathered details regarding the owner of the private helicopter. The investigative team will delve into the circumstances that led to the helicopter’s flight in violation of regulations.
At the same time, Kummanam Rajasekharan, a member of the temple management committee, responded that the incident that has happened is a serious one and a detailed investigation is required.
He said,” The plane was flown over the temple on the night of 28th of last month. The plane spent an hour in the sky and circled over the temple more than five times.”
In a situation where air traffic over the Sri Padmanabha Swamy Temple is prohibited after 5 o’clock in the evening, the reported intrusion of a private chopper above the shrine is giving rise to an air of mystery. Criticism is escalating, highlighting that even after a week since the incident occurred, neither the state government nor the police had any knowledge of it.
